We are looking for sewists and menders to join us on Mend it in Public Day, Sat 20th April, 11am – 3pm in our Creative Reuse Hub.

Come and share your skills (please book a place here) or just turn up to learn from others.

Spark conversations on making loved clothes last in a world inundated with fashion waste.

Bring your repair pile (or other fibre crafts) for a day of resistance against disposable fashion.

2024 marks 10 years since Fashion Revolution, now the world’s largest activism movement, started actively campaigning. In that time they have mobilised hundreds of thousands of global citizens to take action, engaged policy makers and lobbied for legislative change.

Fashion Revolution, the annual campaign brining together the world’s largest fashion activism movement for ten days of action, takes place on Monday 15th – Weds 24th April 2024.

You will only need to book a ticket here if you are coming along ready to share your skills with others, if you are coming to learn from others just turn up on the day, we’ll be really pleased to see you.

Sewists and Menders ready to share their skills – we’re looking for people to show others how to darn, mend, patch and make things good again, or if you are confident sharing the basics of using a sewing machine that would be wonderful too – so, if that’s you, we’d really like to know you are coming so please book a free ticket on this eventbrite page and take the opportunity to tell us a bit more about what you are bringing on the booking form.

Our cafe will be open, serving hot/cold drinks and lovely cakes, plus lots of other making activities, and all of Scrap and Sunny Bank Mills to explore.
