Fashion Revolution Week 2026 Mend In Public Day – SCRAP Drop in Mend, Repair and Upcycle
A free, drop in event for Fashion Revolution Week Mend In Public Day to help share skills and keep your fashion sustainable.
Fashion Revolution Week was founded by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro in the wake of the Rana Plaza disaster in 2013 and has grown to become the world’s largest fashion activism movement, mobilising citizens, brands and policymakers through research, education and advocacy.
Find out more about Fashion Revolution Week here.
Come and join us in our Creative Reuse Hub to learn how to mend, repair and upcycle your clothes, share skills, finish projects and learn from others.
All welcome, this is a free, drop in session so just turn up on the day with your mending pile or clothes upcycling ideas, no need to book.
We’re always keen to explore how we all buy, wear, care and dispose of clothing and this event, plus our SCRAP Clothes Swap on the same day (find out more here), is the perfect opportunity to refresh and sustain your wardrobe without spending a penny.
Any queries? Contact admin@scrapstuff.co.uk.
The Scrap Café will be open serving hot and cold drinks and cake, plus the Scrap store will open as usual 10am – 4pm.
Anyone who can share their mending, repairing and upcycling skills at this day please contact hello@scrapstuff.co.uk if you are able to join us.
Mend In Public Day is Fashion Revolutions’s annual day of collective action which falls within Fashion Revolution Week. The idea is simple: get out into your local community and stitch in protest against disposable fashion. Amidst busy Saturday shoppers, we will repair our torn pockets and broken seams and spark conversations on making Loved Clothes Last.
Mend in Public Day stands as a beacon of change in a world inundated with fashion waste. By participating, you’ll be part of a global creative action resisting the cycle of excess through repair and reuse. Get your repair pile (or other fibre crafts!) at the ready. All skill levels and Fashion Revolutionaries welcome!
